BANSAL ACADEMY

Mobile app privacy policy

Updated 21 October 2026. This policy covers the Bansal Academy Android and iOS learning app and the learning services it opens.

Information used by the app

We use your name, email address or mobile number, sign-in credentials and session information to create and secure your account. If you choose to add a profile photo, we receive that selected image. We store course access, learning progress, quiz answers and results to deliver your learning experience. Our servers and media providers may receive technical request information such as IP address, browser or device information, errors and access times to serve content and protect the service.

How information is used

We use this information for account management, course delivery, saving progress and results, support and security. The app does not request contacts or precise location. Selecting a profile photo or a support screenshot is optional. Support requests include the messages, selected attachments and learning context you submit. Native live classes use the Zoom Meeting SDK; camera and microphone permissions may be requested for class participation. You can decline these permissions or change them in device settings. iOS does not offer course or digital-notes purchases inside the app.

Service providers and third-party content

Hosting, storage and video-delivery providers process the information needed to operate the service. Course videos may use Bunny video delivery. Zoom processes the classroom identity, meeting connection information and any audio, video or other content you share in a live class. Class recording, when enabled by the host, is governed by the class notice and Zoom controls. Optional push notifications use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and, on iOS, Apple Push Notification service. We register the device notification token and platform with your signed-in account to deliver alerts; you can turn notifications off in the app or device settings. When you open third-party content, that provider also applies its privacy terms. We do not sell your personal information. The app does not include advertising SDKs or request advertising tracking permission.

Security and retention

App communication uses HTTPS. Passwords are stored as protected hashes rather than plain text. Sign-in information is stored in the device's secure storage. We keep account and learning information while it is needed for your account and learning services. Some payment, accounting, security and legal records may need to be retained after account deletion. Access to retained records is restricted. Existing backups may remain until their normal retention cycle expires.

Your choices and account deletion

You can edit your account details, decline an optional profile photo, sign out, or delete your account from Profile > Delete Account. Deletion removes your profile identity and credentials, revokes sign-in sessions and removes your app learning progress and practice-test records. Records needed for billing, accounting, fraud prevention or legal obligations may be retained.

A web deletion request is also available at bansalacademy.com/account-deletion.

Children and sensitive information

The app provides educational content. It does not ask for sensitive health information or precise location. If you are below the age at which you may independently create an account, ask a parent or guardian to help you. Parents or guardians can contact us about an account or deletion request.

Contact and changes

For privacy questions, use the contact details or support form on our Bansal Academy contact page. We will update this page when the app's data practices change.
