HPSC PGT Economics Syllabus

The HPSC PGT Economics exam is conducted by the Haryana Public Service Commission to recruit Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) in Economics for government schools across Haryana. This exam tests a candidate’s understanding of economic concepts, application skills, and teaching aptitude. The goal is to select capable and knowledgeable individuals for high school teaching roles in Economics.

Exam Structure:

• Paper I (General Studies & Aptitude):
  Evaluates general awareness, logical reasoning, Haryana-specific knowledge, and basic teaching methodology.

• Paper II (Economics Subject):
  Tests core economics knowledge—covering microeconomics, macroeconomics, Indian economy, statistics, and economic development—with a focus on both conceptual clarity and application.
