Eligibility — JK TET (As per JKBOSE & NCTE Norms)
Educational Qualification

For Paper-I (Classes I–V): Candidate must have passed
Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks
and passed or appearing in the final year of:
• 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
• 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
• 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) -
For Paper-II (Classes VI–VIII): Candidate must have a
Graduation degree with at least 50% marks
and passed or appearing in:
• 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
• 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
• 4-year B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed
• 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) - All qualifications must be from institutions recognized by NCTE / RCI / relevant statutory authority.
Age, Nationality & Other Conditions
- No upper age limit is prescribed for appearing in the JK TET exam.
- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The JK TET certificate is valid for a lifetime, as per rules notified by JKBOSE.
- Candidates may appear multiple times to improve their score.
- Final eligibility is subject to verification of original documents at the time of recruitment.

Exam Pattern — JK TET (Latest JKBOSE Notification)
The following exam pattern for the Jammu & Kashmir Teacher Eligibility Test (JK TET) is based on the latest guidelines issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE). JK TET consists of two papers — Paper-I and Paper-II.
JK TET Paper-I (For Classes I to V)

- Medium of Exam: English / Urdu / Hindi
