Eligibility — NVS / KVS Recruitment (Expected 2025–26)
Educational / Professional Qualifications

PRT (Primary Teacher):
Senior Secondary (50% or equivalent) + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or B.El.Ed;
Pass in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-I (or as per notification);
Proficiency to teach in Hindi & English medium. -
TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher):
Graduation (with at least 50%) in the relevant subject / combination of subjects (as defined in notification) + B.Ed.;
Pass in CTET Paper-II (or as per notification);
Competence to teach through Hindi & English medium. -
PGT (Post Graduate Teacher):
Master's degree (with at least 50%) in the relevant subject from a recognized university (or four-year integrated degree from RCE/NCERT) + B.Ed (or equivalent) / integrated PG-B.Ed;
Proficiency in teaching in Hindi & English medium. -
For non-teaching or support roles (e.g. Librarian, Admin, Stenographer, MTS, etc.):
Educational/qualification requirements vary as per the post (for example, 10th / 12th / Graduation + relevant diploma or skill certificate). Check the recruitment notification for exact details.
Age, Nationality & Other Conditions
- Minimum Age: 18 years (as on cut-off date specified in notification).
- Upper Age Limit: Varies by post — for example:
- PRT → up to ~30 years
- TGT → up to ~35 years
- PGT → up to ~40 years
- Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC), women, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and employees of KVS/NVS (as per Government norms).
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- Competence to teach in Hindi and English medium is essential. Knowledge of regional language (if required) may be specified in notification.
