Eligibility — PSTET (Latest Notification)
Educational Qualification
- For Paper-1 (Classes I-V): Candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma/Certificate in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed/B.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
- For Paper-2 (Classes VI-VIII): Candidate must have a graduation degree and a 2-year Diploma/Certificate in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed/B.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
- Candidate should have studied relevant teaching subjects and languages as per the post applied.
- Candidates with knowledge of Punjabi/English are preferred as per medium of instruction.
Age, Nationality & Other Conditions
- Minimum Age: 18 years as on the cut-off date mentioned in the PSTET notification.
- Maximum Age: As per rules issued by the Punjab School Education Board (upper age limit may vary by category).
- Age relaxation is applicable for SC / ST / OBC / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen candidates as per government norms.
- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Final selection is subject to verification of documents, educational qualification, and eligibility conditions.

Exam Pattern — PSTET (Latest Notification)
The following exam pattern for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) is based on the latest guidelines issued by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB). PSTET consists of two papers — Paper-1 and Paper-2.
PSTET Paper-1 (For Classes I to V)

- Medium of Exam: Punjabi & English
