What are the comprehensive eligibility criteria that prospective candidates need to fulfill in order to be eligible to apply for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) National Eligibility Test (NET) examination?

Greetings from Bansal Academy! To apply for the CSIR NET exam, individuals must meet the following eligibility conditions:
Educational Qualification:
For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Candidates must have completed an M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Science stream with at least 55% marks for General and OBC-NCL category (50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
For Lectureship (LS): Candidates must have completed an M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Science stream with at least 55% marks for General and OBC-NCL category (50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
Age Limit:
For JRF: The upper age limit for JRF is 28 years as of the closing date of application. There is a relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST/PwD/female/transgender candidates and 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates.
For LS: There is no upper age limit for Lectureship.
Nationality:
Candidates must be Indian citizens.
Subject Eligibility:
Candidates must choose their subject for CSIR NET based on their educational background. The subjects include Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.
Other Conditions:
Candidates who have completed an Integrated MS-PhD program or those who are in the final year of such programs are also eligible to apply.
Candidates pursuing a Bachelor's degree (final year) or those who have completed a Bachelor's degree and are awaiting results can also apply provisionally.
