What is the maximum age limit to apply for the CSIR NET exam for men and women?

1. For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF):

   • The maximum age limit for both men and women is 28 years as of the closing date of the application.

   • Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided for certain categories:

     • SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Female candidates: Up to 5 years of relaxation.

     • Candidates with research experience: The period spent on research will be deducted from their age, subject to a maximum of 5 years.

2. For Lectureship (LS) only:

   • There is no upper age limit for candidates applying for the Lectureship (LS) only.
