UPSC CDS 1 2024 Registration starts for UPSC CDS Recruitment

UPSC CDS 1 2024: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for Combined Defense Services (CDS) I recruitment. Along with this, the process of registration has also started from today i.e. 20th December 2023. Candidates wishing to appear in CDS 1 recruitment examination can apply online by visiting the official website upsc.gov.in. The last date to apply is 09 January 2024 till 06 pm.

Recruitment is to be done on 457 posts under UPSC CDS 1. You can see the details of vacancies below-

Indian Military Academy (IMA) Dehradun – 100 Posts

Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala – 32 Posts

Air Force Hyderabad – 32 posts

Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai (Madras) – 275 Posts

OTA Women Chennai (Madras) – 18 Posts

UPSC CDS 1 2024 Application Fee
General/OBC category applicants applying for UPSC CDS 1 Recruitment will have to deposit an application fee of Rs 200, while SC/ST/Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. The examination fee has to be paid through challan or net banking, debit card, credit card fee mode.

UPSC CDS 1 Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for CDS recruitment must be graduates from a recognized university. Apart from this, stream wise educational qualification is given in the official notification. Candidates are advised to read the notification once before applying.

UPSC CDS 1 2024 Exam Date
UPSC CDS 1 recruitment exam will be held on April 21, 2024. UPSC CDS exam is for IMA, INA and AFA posts. It consists of three papers – General Knowledge, English Language and Elementary Mathematics. Each paper carries 100 marks and the exam time is 2 hours. Candidates should keep in mind that there will be negative marking for every wrong answer.

Combined Defense Services Examination is conducted twice a year by UPSC. The second phase of the exam, CDS II, is scheduled to be held on September 01, 2024, while its notification will be released on May 15, 2024 as per the schedule.
