HTET Exam Eligibility 2024

The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) notification was released on October 30, available on bseh.org.in, along with the online application link. Candidates aiming to start a career in teaching for Primary (PRT), Trained Graduate (TGT), and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) positions should review the eligibility criteria before applying.

HTET Age Limit 2023: 

Candidates must be between 18 to 38 years old on the day of the exam to apply.

HTET Educational Qualifications:

1. Primary Teacher (PRT):

   • Senior Secondary (Class 12) with at least 45% marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
   • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and D.El.Ed (final year candidates can apply).
   • Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and D.El.Ed.
   • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
   • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
   • Bachelor’s degree with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

2. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT):

   • B.A./B.Sc./B.Com in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education/B.Ed.
   • B.A./B.Sc./B.Com with at least 45% marks and 50% marks in the relevant subject (as an elective) along with a two-year B.Ed.
   • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a four-year B.El.Ed/B.A./B.Sc/B.Com Ed. or B.A Ed./B.Sc. Ed./B.Com. Ed.
   • B.A./B.Sc./B.Com with at least 50% marks and a two-year Bachelor in Special Education.

3. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT):

   • Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.
   • Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) from a reputed college or institute.

HTET Number of Attempts: 

There is no limit on the number of attempts for the HTET exam.
