The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) conducts the School Lecturer recruitment examination to appoint qualified candidates to teaching positions in various government schools across the Union Territory. • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/ALC/IB/Social Caste):
  Upper Age Limit – 43 years

• Physically Challenged Candidates:

• In-service Candidates/Government Employees:
  Upper Age Limit – 40 years

• Ex-Servicemen:
  Upper Age Limit – 48 years

• Master’s Degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or its equivalent from a recognized institution is mandatory.

Candidates who have completed M.Ed (Master of Education) in addition to B.Ed will be given preference in the selection process.

Those who are appearing in the final year of their Master’s or B.Ed degree as of the application date may not be considered eligible unless otherwise specified in the official notification.
