ICG Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2024: Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has released the notification for various Assistant Commandant posts under 2025 batch in the Employment News February (17-23), 2024. A total of 70 Assistant Commandant vacancies are to be filled in various disciplines, which include General Duty (GD), Technical (Mechanical) and Technical (Electrical/Electronics). Eligible candidates can apply online for these posts through the official website of Indian Coast Guard, joinIndiancoastguard.cdac.in.

ICG Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2024: Educational Qualification
General Duty (GD): Must have a degree from a recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
Technical (Mechanical): Must have an Engineering degree from a recognized university in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial & Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
Technical (Electrical/Electronics): Engineering degree from a recognized university in Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation & Control or Electronics & Communication or Power Engineering or Power Electronics with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
Age Range
Candidates interested in applying for Indian Coast Guard, Assistant Commandant Recruitment must be between 21 to 25 years as on July 1, 2024.
Selection Process
The selection of Assistant Commandant is based on All India Merit Rank, which is based on the performance of the candidates at various stages. All candidates from all branches will appear in the Computer Based Online Screening Test known as CGCAT. The test consists of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs), carrying four marks for each correct answer and one negative mark for each wrong answer.

All candidates have to pay Rs 300 as application fee. SC/ST category candidates are exempted from payment of fees. Application fee can be paid in online mode through Net Banking, Visa/Master/Maestro/RuPay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI.
