KVS TGT Eligibility 2024

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) recruits Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) annually. To apply for the TGT post, candidates must meet specific qualifications. Detailed below are the essential and desirable criteria required for the KVS TGT position.

• Maximum Age: 35 years

Educational Qualifications

1. Essential Qualifications:

   (a) Degree Requirements:

   • Integrated Course: A four-year integrated degree course from Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
   • Bachelor’s Degree: A Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects and in aggregate. The elective subjects and languages in the combination of subjects are specified as follows:

   2	TGT (Hindi)	Hindi as a subject in all three years.
   3	TGT (Social Studies)	Any two of the following: History, Geography, Economics, and Political Science, of which one must be either History or Geography.
   4	TGT (Science)	Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry.
   5	TGT (Sanskrit)	Sanskrit as a subject in all three years.
   6	TGT (Maths)	A Bachelor’s Degree in Maths with any two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Statistics.

   (b) B.Ed Degree:

   • A B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized university.

   (c) CTET Qualification:

   • Must pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II, conducted by CBSE in accordance with NCTE guidelines.

   (d) Language Proficiency:

   • Proficiency in teaching in both Hindi and English mediums.

2. Desirable Qualifications:

   • Knowledge of computer applications.
