Duration of Exams


Duration of Tier-1 exam will be 60 minutes. The section wise exam are tabulated below:

Scheme of Examination: The examination will consist of a written Examination and Skill Test for the post of Data Entry Operator and written test and Typing Test for the post of Lower Division Clerk on Computer.




Data Entry Operator (DEO) Skill Test


Only those candidates, who secure at least the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination, are called for skill test.

The “Data Entry Speed” Skill Test is of qualifying nature. Candidates allowed to take this test, have to qualify the test at the prescribed speed on Computer.

Data Entry Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on Computer is required.

The Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on Computer adjudged on the basis of the correct entry of words/key depressions as per the given passage.

The duration of the test is 15 minutes.


Typing Test for LDCs (Lower Division Clerks)


Typing test is conducted for those candidates who qualify in the written examination.

Typing test is conducted in English or Hindi.

Typing test will is of qualifying in nature. It is administered on the Computer provided by the Commission or any agency authorized by the Commission.

For English medium typing speed required is of 35 words per minute.

For Hindi medium typing speed required is of 30 words per minute.

  1. Physical Endurance Test (PET)

Mandatory for all the post.

Only those candidates, who secure qualifying marks in Paper I of the written examination and shortlisted for Physical Endurance Test (PET)/PST and medical test.

Paper-II of shortlisted candidates who qualify in PST/PET will only be evaluated.
