Who are eligible for CSIR NET exam

2. Minimum Percentage Criteria: Candidates belonging to the General/OBC category must secure a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in their qualifying examination. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD categories, the minimum percentage requirement is relaxed to 50%.

3. Age Limit: For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), the maximum age limit is 28 years as of the specified cutoff date (relaxable for certain categories as per government norms). There is no upper age limit for Lectureship/Assistant Professorship.

4. Nationality: Candidates must be Indian nationals to be eligible for the CSIR NET exam. However, there are certain provisions for foreign nationals as per CSIR guidelines.
