The eligibility criteria for CSIR NET (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test) are as follows:
- Educational Qualification:
- For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF):
- Candidates should have an M.Sc. or an equivalent degree/Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/B. Tech/B. Pharma/MBBS with at least 55% marks for general and OBC (50% for SC/ST and PwD candidates) in the relevant subject.
- Candidates enrolled for M.Sc. or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.
- For Lectureship (LS):
- There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.
- Candidates should have the same educational qualifications as mentioned for JRF.
- Age Limit:
- For JRF, the upper age limit is 28 years (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/PwD/female candidates).
- There is no upper age limit for Lectureship.
