Greetings and regards from Bansal Academy! Thank you for your inquiry regarding the salary of a CSIR NET Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) awardee. Once you qualify CSIR NET JRF Exam and enrolled for the Ph.D. You will get 31,000 INR fellowship(Cant called it is as salary) as basic in addition to that you will get the HRA (room rent) which is 18% of your fellowship in Tier 2 citieis. To calculate 18% of 31000, you would first multiply 18 by 31000 and then divide the result by 100. This can be written as follows: (18 * 31000) / 100 = 55800 / 100 = 5580 So, 18% of 31000 is equal to 5580. in Adition to that you will get Contingancy of 3000 INR for 3 months patch. this is for 1st 2 years. When you complete your 2 years from 3 rd to 5th year you will get incimant from fellowship 31k to 35k and then also in HRA as 18% of 35k is : (18 * 35000) / 100 = 63000 / 100 = 6300 So, 18% of 35000 is equal to 6300. and contingency of 6250 for 3months. So in Jrf you will get 36,580 INR. (excluding the contingancy) for SRF you will get 41,300 INR.
