Thank you for your inquiry about the CSIR NET exam eligibility criteria. Candidates aspiring to appear for the CSIR NET exam must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- For Life Sciences: M.Sc. or an equivalent degree/Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS with at least 55% marks for General (UR) and OBC candidates, and 50% for SC/ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates.
- For Chemical Sciences: Same as above.
- For Physical Sciences: Same as above.
- Age Limit:
- For JRF (Junior Research Fellowship): Maximum 28 years as on the closing date of online submission of application form. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.
- For LS (Lectureship): No upper age limit.
- Nationality: Candidates must be Indian nationals.
- Other Criteria:
- Candidates holding an Integrated MS-Ph.D. degree should have completed the MS (by 19th September 1991) or equivalent degree.
- Candidates enrolled for M.Sc. or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination are also eligible to apply under the Result Awaited (RA) category.
